After the adventure in the woods we took a scenic ride down
rt 92 to Crawford and Hotchkiss, It was a beautiful ride up, over and around the
mountains, felt like we were on top of the world. Very difficult to capture
some of the pictures we really would have like to have taken due to all the
twist and turns and the lack of guardrails. The pic below show one of these
rare guardrails. Also, once again we have been very fortunate to see very
little traffic. May be all the fires have slowed tourism this year. It is so
hot and dry I heard there is a complete ban on fireworks to include sparklers
and the like; everything except the fireworks provided by professionals.
